Gravity Rascals
A downloadable game for Windows
3D soapbox racing · Windows 64-bit · Free playable prototype
No engine. All nerve.
A bathtub, a giant pickle, a cardboard car… Pick your unlikely racer and throw yourself into a colourful urban descent. Weave between hay bales, bounce over obstacles and find your line through banked turns. Gravity supplies the speed; steering, braking and a well-timed shove are up to you.
The hill is yours
- A long urban downhill course with bumps, jumps, chicanes, banked corners and a stepped finale.
- Ridiculous homemade racers, two animated riders per cart, working suspension and collisions between competitors.
- Offline solo play: explore the course or race up to three computer opponents.
- Up to four online drivers with lobby codes and computers to fill the grid. Internet multiplayer is still experimental.
- Checkpoints to get you rolling again after a crash.
- Keyboard and controller support, an adjustable camera, display and audio options.
Take the wheel
A / D or Left / Right: steer. Hold W: give one weight-shove per second. Space or S / Down: brake. R: recover at your last checkpoint. Right mouse drag: orbit the camera. Mouse wheel: adjust camera distance. Escape: options.
Controller: left stick or D-pad to steer; A / Cross to shove; LT / L2 or X / Square to brake; Start for options.
Tip: brake before narrow passages. These carts have no engine or reverse; a good line is worth more than one shove too many.
Roll downhill with friends
- Everyone installs the same version of the game, with one player per computer.
- The host chooses Play → Host, then Online, and shares the lobby code.
- Friends choose Play → Join, enter the code and confirm Ready.
- The host can add computer opponents, then chooses Start.
To play offline, stay in Play → Host and add computers, or start alone to explore. Solo play needs no Epic account. Online play uses Epic Online Services with a guest identity; the host must remain connected.

Work in progress: this early prototype does not yet include local split-screen, a final results screen, lap timing or vehicle customisation. Internet multiplayer needs broader testing between separate computers. Feedback on handling, performance and races with friends is welcome.
Some vehicles include humorous references to alcohol and cannabis.
Created by Gavigny with help from Codex for development and resource creation. Some voices and sound effects were generated with ElevenLabs. The screenshots and cover show the game.
